Creating a truly spooktacular Halloween
with The Co-operative Food

Monster mashup

In 2015, The Co-operative food wanted to inspire customers to throw the most horrible Halloween party ever. They did this by encouraging customers to start their Halloween shop earlier, spreading the cost and finding value in spooky inspiration on their doorsteps.

Scary stuff

How could we do this? By creating a fun and memorable campaign that would excite customers right up until the day itself. Welcome to...

Local Shop of Horrors

We created Halloween characters out of Co-operative food and inspired customers to make their own with our Spooky Food recipes instore and online.

Our characters, Meaty Monster Max, Beastly Bat Baz and Demon Doughnut Damien, took centre stage in-store, outdoor and in press and radio communications.

Across The Co-operative food’s social pages, we created a countdown to Halloween, revealing a new trick or treat, such as food, games, costumes and competitions, every day.
